Dan Armstrong
The "Doc" of We're Science.
Dan received his BS from Washington and Lee University in
Interdepartmental Science and Math, 1972. He then earned an MS in Chemical
Oceanography from
Texas A&M in 1974, followed by a PHD in Chemistry, also from Texas A&M in
1977. He is currently professor of Chemistry and Research at the University of
Missouri, Rolla, in addition to being head of Analytical Chemistry,
investigator in Material Research and a Curator's Distinguished Professor
of Chemistry.
Dan has authored or co-authored 200 articles in professional journals,
holds four patents (five additional patents pending), has
published 14 chapters in books, and is a sought-after speaker at lectures
and seminars world-wide.
Harvey Richards
The "Jock" of We're Science.
Harvey received his BS degree in Biology from Michigan Technological
University in 1982, with a teaching certificate three years later. For many years he taught Physical
Science and Biology, and was on the coaching staff for football, track, and basketball at St. Clair High
School in St. Clair, Missouri. As of June, 1996, he is now the Principal of Steelville High School in
Steelville, Missouri. Congratulations, Harvey!
